





Microfinance program of SABR started its activity in 2001 due to the support of the Netherlands’ Fund NOVIB.

Socio-economic development centre SABR received strong support from NOVIB in its institutional and organizational development. In November 2006 microfinance program of SABR was registered as a separate organization - Daughter Enterprise “Micro credit organization of SABR”.

The results of the activity of microfinance program
Owing to a simplified microfinance scheme implied in “SABR” more and more rural people become interested in our program. Hence, 12 373 loans were disbursed since the beginning of the program and the cumulative volume of loans disbursed constituted 3.421.655.158 sums.
Rural clients of the program learnt to make savings, to develop their business, they improved the quality of food they have and life as a whole. Their satisfaction with the quality of lives improved, gender relations and roles changed.
Due to income growth, microfinance program clients have an opportunity to make larger expenses and purchase immovable property, expensive household equipment, transport means, construction materials and make other expenses aimed at the quality of life improvement.
Considerable changes occurred in entrepreneurship activity of the clients and their business expansion, quality of life improvement and expansion in the assortment of their goods. Wellbeing of people is growing.
