About “Media campaign”

The action “16 days against the violence” (from 25th of November till 10th of December) is the International Campaign initiated in 1991 by Feminine Global Leadership Institute and which carried out annually all over the world in more then 158 countries.

Women-activists from the entire world since 1981 celebrate 25th of November as a day against violence. On 17th of December, 1999  the General Assembly of the UNO announced the 25th of November, as International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women(International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women) (Resolution 54/134). The UNO offered the governments, international organizations and non-governmental organizations to carry out events at this day, which are directed to attraction of the attention of the community to this problem. In the massage of the Secretary General is noted: “Violence relating the women causes inexpressible suffers sorrows, grief to families, from which suffer the old and the young and it brings the community to the impoverishment. It does not let the women to use all their potential abilities, restricts the economical growth and undermine    the development”.

Annually on 10th of December all progressive humanity celebrates the Human Rights Day. This day in 1948  the governments of the countries-members of the UNO have recognized  the human rights to “life, freedom and personal immunity  for all without exception, having signed The General Declaration about Human Rights in which to all countries-members and other interested parties was offered to celebrate the Human Rights Day on 10th of December.

The impressive pages in the international action “16 days against the violence” became the dates:

1st of December -  is celebrated the World day of the struggle against AIDS in accordance with the decision of the World Health Organization (WHO) and General Assembly  of the UNO,  accepted in 1988. 

3rd of December  -  T he general Assemble of the UNO  with its resolution  pronounced  the  3rd of December as International Day of Persons with Disabilities  (International Day of Persons with Disabilities), for the purpose of increasing of awareness  and mobilization of support of  important questions which relate including of persons with disabilities in the social structures  and development processes.

The community of the Republic, state, social organizations, institutes of civil society, widely participate in this action.  Themainaccentisonstrengtheningofthefamily. The family, which is created on the grounds of love, mutual understanding and respect is a real wealth of the human, this is a small world with its customs, traditions and habits, which are created and preserved during long years. The close-knit family is a paramount stimulation for a person to go ahead, to grow, and develop and rich new horizons. This is a rear where always will be glad in good times and help during difficult times.  The violence in the family creates the atmosphere of fear, it causes the destructive influence to material, structural, cultural and psychological state of our society. Moreover, it often causes subversive consequences to safety and wellbeing of our society in whole, having touched women, children and men.

We, being the defenders of women and children‘s rights, bear a serious responsibility for the forms of violence at sites, the reason of its existence.

We are the children of one planet, Earth! We are all the members of the one human family. The happiness and wellbeing of surrounding persons, society, prosperity and Piece all over the World depend on relationships between the   members of this family.

We are for the piece on the Earth – and the piece begins in the family.

We are against the violence in the family; we are against the violence, terrorism and wars in all the word!
