The festival "Creating learning territories and innovations for adult learning and education to accelerate the socio-economic development of Uzbekistan" was held in Samarkand on October 21-22, 2022

The city of Samarkand has applied to join the UNESCO Global Network of Learning Cities, which includes 294 cities from 76 countries of the world, and is ready to develop in this direction, exchanging experience with other cities-members of the network around the world. That is why the Festival is held in Samarkand and includes a conference, master classes, free discussions, a fair, an exhibition of handicrafts, a photo exhibition and will be held at two venues - on the first day in the building of the International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage "Silk Road" (Samarkand), and in the second - in the Monocenter "Ishga marhamat" for the provision of services to the unemployed population.
 
Expected results of the Festival:
 
Exchange of experience, knowledge and ideas in the field of development of learning territories and strategies for the implementation of the Marrakesh Framework adopted on.
Strengthening partnerships between stakeholders, government and non-government organizations
Positive impact on the ongoing reforms in the field of education for the socio-economic development of the country.
160 participants from the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Federal Republic of Germany, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Tajikistan are invited to the Festival, representing state authorities and administrations, universities, non-governmental educational organizations, civil society institutions, business and other interested parties.
 
The organizers of the Festival are the NGO NationalCenter for Socio-Economic Development "SABR" and the DVV Branch in Uzbekistan (DVV International) - an organization that has been operating in Uzbekistan since 2002. Co-organizers of the event: UNESCO Office in Tashkent, Commission on Gender Equality of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan, State Inspectorate for Supervision of the Quality of Education under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Institute for Labor Market Research under the Ministry employment and labor relations of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Samarkand regional khokimiyat, International University of tourism and cultural heritage "Silk Road".
 
Based on the results of the Festival, it is planned to adopt the Final Document.
